Would you like to learn more about our services before requesting a tutor?
For more information, you can consult our FAQ below or contact us using one of 3 ways:
How long should tutoring sessions last and what is the price for one session?
The ideal duration for a tutoring session is 1 hour and 30 minutes. However, you can choose to do shorter or longer sessions, depending on your expectations and needs. You are the one who decides what is best for your child’s success in school.
The price of a 1 hour 30 minutes session is $67.50, or $45 per hour.
What is the ideal number of tutoring sessions for my child?
There is no magic formula; it depends on your child’s needs and goals. You can book as many hours and sessions as you deem necessary.
However, we recommend taking a minimum of 6 hours, or 4 sessions of 1h30, so that your child and his tutor have enough time to achieve the goals that they define together.
Will I be charged any registration fee?
Yes. The registration fee is $35, payable once you sign a contract for your first tutoring session.
What does “certification of our tutors” mean?
We have implemented a rigorous recruiting process to ensure the identity, qualifications and skills of our tutors. We certify their knowledge and abilities to meet students’ learning and tutoring needs. Once recruited, we offer our tutors a continuing education program based on a cognitive learning model.
For more detailed information, please consult the “Selection of our tutors” page.
How quickly can you find a tutor for my child?
Once your registration is complete, we endeavor to find a suitable tutor for your child within 72 hours.
Are there sales taxes to pay on tutoring services?
No, our services are exempt from the goods and services tax (GST) and the Quebec sales tax (QST).
Is it possible to get a tax credit for tutoring services?
You may be able to get a tax credit when your child has received tutoring services from CPS Tutoring. To obtain a tax credit, you must meet certain conditions as defined by the Government of Quebec, including things such as place of residence, duration of tutoring, and family income. To find out more about this tax credit and to determine if you are eligible, visit the Revenu Québec website.
A receipt for the tutoring services received from CPS Tutoring is available upon request.
